1. Responsibilities
The firm controls its client compliance processing. RegInspect processes those records under the DPA and separately controls its own business, account and security records as explained in the Privacy Policy. This page is guidance about the service, not a certification or legal opinion.
2. Making a request
Tell the relevant controller what information or action you need. A request does not need special wording. Do not include identity documents or sensitive client records in an initial general email. We will explain a proportionate verification route if needed.
3. Requests concerning firm records
The firm decides access, correction, erasure, restriction and other requests concerning its records, taking account of AML retention, confidentiality, legal holds and other applicable restrictions. We assist the firm within our processor role and do not erase regulated records merely because an individual asks us directly.
4. Requests concerning our own records
Contact us for requests about website enquiries, account administration or other information we control. We respond within applicable statutory deadlines, explain permitted extensions and give reasons where a request cannot be fulfilled.
5. Complaints
You may raise concerns with us or directly with the supervisory authority that has jurisdiction: the ICO in the UK, the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority, or the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta. Other applicable supervisory-authority rights are unaffected.
